Empathetic - Showing an ability to understand and share the feelings of another. This helps you become approachable and understanding in situations which helps the team feel at ease knowing they have someone they can speak with openly.
Passionate - Showing or caused by strong feelings or a strong belief. When you're passionate about the team and the job or tasks at hand this helps the work environment and uplifts moods and ideas.
Dependable - Trustworthy and reliable, this is important as well as you know things don't always go according to plan and when you have a dependable leader this helps the team know they have someone to fall back on if things go south.
Proactive-Creating or controlling a situation by causing something to happen rather than responding to it after it has happened. This is one key characteristic especially in the business world as you know sometimes things left and responded to after make the situation worse. Someone to be proactive is a great skill to handle situations and be a good problem solver.
Open Minded- Willing to consider new ideas; unprejudiced. Everyone has different perspectives, experiences and ideas and if you're open minded to new things this will not just help your team feel comfortable but also benefit you. You never know your team may have some great ideas that you may not have even thought of.
Supportive- Providing encouragement or emotional help. As a team you always want to be surrounded by people who support your ideas and work. When it comes to having a leader who is supportive it enhances the team dynamic.
